When do you walk dogs?
Dogs can be walked mid-morning, lunchtime or mid-afternoon. Times are approximate due to the varied times it takes to pick up and drop off dogs from their homes. Very approximate start times for these are 10am, 12pm & 2pm.
Which area do you cover?
Currently, I only cover Beckenham.
How many dogs do you walk at the same time?
Normally. I would walk up to a maximum of 4 dogs.
Are you insured?
Yes, I'm currently insured by Protectivity Insurance.
Do you take on all size of dogs?
Unfortunately not - dog handlers need to be physically capable of holding each dog back on a lead for any number of incidents that could occur, even if the dog is usually easily controlled. Therefore, if the dog is particularly strong or heavy I may not be able to cater for this.
Do you board dogs?
At this time, unfortunately, I cannot offer this service as I don't have a licence. But I may be available to dog sit at your own home.
Alternatively, during your holidays, I am happy to take your dogs for walks in the daytime if you find a boarder that is able to look after your dog at night - a friend, relative or professional boarder.
If you look after my keys how do I know they'll be safe?
I and any future dog carers that work for Lady Rambles will have gone through a Disclosure and Barring Service check and have been fully vetted prior to starting any training. Spare keys that aren't in constant use are locked away securely for emergencies. Key tags never identify the property to which they belong. I also have Lost Key Cover through my insurer.
Do you hire other dog walkers?
I am currently a single walker, but I may look to taking on other walkers in the future.
Do you keep the dogs on a lead?
Once I'm away from the car park or roads I take the dogs to have freedom to run and burn off energy, so the dogs need to have good recall.
Do I need to sign a service agreement?
Yes. This is to show that when you book services you agree I can enter your home, walk your dog or care for them, and that you agree to the policies and procedures.
